Côtes des Roses

Here we have another lovely pink from another powerhouse producer: Gerard Bertrand. 

Classic aromas of strawberry, brioche and watermelon and a bit of grapefruit round out the entry.

The crisp acidity and mouthwatering minerality are there, leading into the berry bowl fruit but with more blueberry making itself felt. It’s not tannic but I found myself almost chewing the wine to tease out more flavours.

While not a robust rosé, it does have a little more weight at the mid-palate and a rewarding medium-length finish.

This is a well-balanced wine offering a fine price-quality ratio.
